Pirelli tires are the protagonists of the new SBK™22 video game

Pirelli collaborated with the Milan-based software company Milestone for SBK™22the new video game dedicated to FIM Superbike World Championship.

Thanks to high-level graphics rendering and a very realistic gaming experience obtained with the advice of professional pilots and experts, Milestone has succeeded in recreating the real world of the Championship with great fidelity. The extreme level of simulation is not only limited to the behavior of the motorcycles and riders, but also to the details. The Pirelli brand, for example, is present in the video game on the track banners, on the fairings of the motorcycles, on the riders’ suits, as well as on the tires used.

Pirelli’s presence is not limited to this: the only tire supplier to WorldSBK also plays a key role as it represents an important element capable of influencing gameplay. Indeed, the players have the possibility of equipping their motorcycles by choosing among the various mixtures the DIABLO™ Superbike are available. As in real life, players will have access to a tire allocation, both dry and wet, which will also vary from track to track and will include not only standard solutions but also development options. Just like in the FIM Superbike World Championship, based on the choice of rubber, the video game algorithm modifies the behavior of the motorcycle. In other words, the tires are one of the parameters that the player must take into account when “taking to the track”. To achieve this level of realism, Milestone developers have worked closely with Pirelli to reproduce the technical and behavioral characteristics of the Pirelli.
