VIEJO MISSION, approx. (August 5, 2021): The Orange County Sheriff’s Department will have additional deputies on patrol on Friday August 6 in the town of Mission Viejo looking for offenses by drivers and motorcyclists that increase the risk of accidents.

With nearly 900,000 motorcycles registered in the state, many road users travel to places without the same protections as drivers. Motorcyclists are 28 times more likely to die in crashes than vehicle occupants.
