Coupon apps provider ranking sees competitors

Their job is to bargain hard, so it is not surprising that in the latest edition of PYMNTS Providers Ranking of Coupon Apps, there is a lot of competitiveness and position changes among the contenders.

Highlights this month include a new leader at the top of the leaderboard, two climbers who added five points to their results since last time, and several other competitors who changed position – gaining or losing a spot.

Let’s look at how things are now.

The Top 5

The new leader this month is Honey Smart Shopping Assistant. This app jumped up two notches in the rankings and ended up here with a score of 86. Since this score is four points higher than last time, it’s also a source of excitement.

However, the previous champion is only a point behind as Groupon has a score of 85.

Flip moves up one position to rank 3. This app logs in with a score of 82.

GasBuddy is just one point behind. With a score of 81, this app has slipped down a notch in the rankings since the last time and is now in 4th place.

Last month’s runner-up has dropped three places while Ibotta now sits fifth in the rankings with 79 points.

The Top 10

GoodRX has gone down a notch since the last time and is now in sixth place with 74 points.

Receipt Hog also lands one position lower than last month. This app now holds the 7th place with a score of 63.

Continuing the recent trend, Rakuten has slipped one position to eighth place, this time with a score of 60.

Like last time, Shopkick is in 9th place. With a score five points higher than the previous one – now at 54 – this app is one of this month’s top movers.

There is another familiar name in tenth place on the leaderboard, as Slickdeals retains the same position as last time. With a score of 48, five points more than last time, this app shares the title of Top Mover and Shaker. It also concludes this month’s edition of the Coupon Apps Provider Ranking.
