The new range of CEAT tires will initially be available at all authorized dealers nationwide.

CEAT on Tuesday announced the launch of its range of high performance tires – SportDrive and SportDrive SUV for the luxury segment in the country. The company previously launched the same range of tires in Europe in 2017 and has now rolled out the product for luxury vehicles in India.

The company says its SportDrive range of tires have been designed and manufactured with the specific requirements of luxury vehicles in India in mind. These tires feature an asymmetrical tread pattern with MRC technology for more grip and cornering stability. Additionally, the company also claims that these tires contribute to increased high-speed stability and precise high-speed steering control while controlling noise levels. These tires include a Dual Silica compound which contributes to excellent grip whatever the driving conditions, according to Ceat.

The company informs that its new brand of tires has been customized to meet the demands of Indian customers. “The launch of CEAT SportDrive and CEAT SportDrive SUV tires in India marks our entry into the luxury tire category, responding to a long-standing demand from our customers. The tire performed extremely well in European markets and has now been customized to meet Indian road and weather conditions,” said Arnab Banerjee, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of CEAT Tyres.

The new range of Ceat SportDrive tires are available in 11 sizes for rim sizes 17 to 19. These tires have been developed to fit a variety of luxury cars and SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz CLA Class, Mercedes -Benz C- Class, Mercedes E-Class, BMW 1 Series, BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series, Jaguar XF, Volvo S90, Audi A8, Volkswagen Tiguan Q5, MINI Cooper among others.

“This marks another step in our efforts to make everyday mobility safer and smarter by allowing luxury car owners in India to let their excitement meet the reliability of SportDrive,” Banerjee said.
