The new Apollo Tramplr range will address different motorcycle segments such as Sport Touring, Adventure Touring, Cruisers and Street Sports. These motorcycle segments in the country account for around 20% of the overall motorcycle market in India.
Speaking of the new line of Apollo Tramplr motorcycle tires, it comes in two models – Apollo Tramplr XR and Apollo Tramplr ST. Wherein the Apollo Trampler XR is a 70:30 Enduro Offroad tire for Adventure Touring, while the Apollo Tramplr ST is an 80:20 Enduro Street tire for Dual Sports capabilities.
Additionally, these newly introduced tires have been designed and developed at Apollo Tyres, Asia’s global R&D center in Chennai, and are manufactured at the company’s state-of-the-art production facility in Vadodara, Gujarat.
Speaking at the launch event for the new Apollo Tramplr range of motorcycle tires, Mr. Satish Sharma, President, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA), Apollo Tires Ltd, said “The changing consumption pattern of Indian consumers, along with the increase in the enthusiast segment of adventure-seeking motorcyclists, has led us to give them new shoes to do more with their current set of motorcycles. focus on steel radial technology products for excellent sporting performance, we are now pushing the boundaries to move into the dual segment of sport and adventure tourism.”
Apollo Tires also claims to have created a new segment based on customer feedback that allows riders to take both daily commutes and adventure trips with their motorcycles fitted with Apollo Tramplr XR tires. Additionally, the new Apollo Tramplr XR tires will fit motorcycles such as Royal Enfield Classics, Yamaha FZ series, Suzuki Gixxer & Intruder, KTM Series, Bajaj Dominar and BMWG310R.
On top of that, the Apollo Tramplr XR tires feature adventure-laden location imprints on the sidewalls of the tires – motivating users to embark on an epic journey and tick off the ‘bucket list’. In addition, this sidewall style also complements adventure tourism
nature of the Apollo Tramplr XR tires.
Diving further into the details of the Apollo Tramplr XR tires, these tires sport a unique tread pattern, larger tread blocks and also steel radial technology. According to Apollo Tyres, all of these features give the Tramplr XR tires excellent on-road handling and superior off-road ability without compromising comfort.
On the other hand, the design of the Apollo Tramplr ST tires is inspired by the street culture of cycling and the sidewall is printed with graffiti. In addition, Apollo Tramplr ST tires are suitable for motorcycles such as Bajaj Pulsar, TVS Apache series, Yamaha Fazer and MT15.
Other than that, the Apollo Tramplr ST tires are well suited to all weather conditions with its large center blocks and wide footprint area. Additionally, such a design gives the Apollo Tramplr ST superior grip and low rolling noise while keeping the bike stable at high speeds.
Thoughts on the new Apollo Tramplr tire range
With the launch of the new range of Apollo Tramplr motorcycle tyres, the company is eager to capitalize on the growing segment of high end Indian motorcycles ranging from 150cc to 500cc motorcycles.
