With the continued demand for all wheel mount tires in the market, along with new axle load requirements, there is a higher expectation of even wear and overall initial tread mileage. (ITM) of all tires, the company said in a statement. These customer contributions, along with the company’s expertise in radial truck-bus (TBR) technology, led to the development and launch of the Apollo EnduRace RAT, the statement added.
Produced at the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Chennai, these tires were extensively tested, both in-house and in real-world applications with end users, prior to launch. Apollo EnduRace RAT will supply the market of 80,000 per month of all-wheel mounted radial bus truck tires in India.

Recommended for moderate load applications in all wheel mounting positions, EnduRace RAT has been shown to provide 20% higher ITM and even wear throughout the life of the tire. Rugged housing with superior heel and strap durability provides optimum load capacity and retreadability. These tires also have the advantage of fuel efficiency with 10% lower rolling resistance.
Apollo Tires enjoys a clear leadership in the commercial vehicle segment in India, with a 32% market share (OE + replacement), according to internal estimates, the tire maker claims.
