About Us
Joe Harrison Motor Sports is celebrating 33 years in business
in 2006. Joe and Jane purchased the dealership in 1973 and
operated out of a tiny storefront on Broadway for several years.
In 1976 they built a beautiful new dealership on I.H. 35 North.
Back in a time when motorcycle shops were mom and pop,
hole-in-the-wall operations which operated out of a cigar box
and on a shoestring, Joe had the foresight to see that things
would eventually change in this unique market.
We're still doing business in that same location on I.H. 35
with the same enthusiasm and care Joe and Jane brought to the
business 32 years ago. We've traded the cigar box for a computer
and Mom and Pop aren't hanging around the shop as much as they
used to. Many things have changed over the years. One thing has
not and never will. Joe Harrison Motor Sports is a family owned
and operated business that makes customer service top priority.
Local dealerships have come and gone in three decades. Only a
handful have survived the good and bad times. We've survived and
thrived because we value long term relationships with our
customers. Any dealership can sell a motorcycle. What we do that
makes us different is the care we take before, during and after
the sale. That's why our customers come back to do business with
us again and again. They often bring us new business in the way
of referrals. By now we're doing business with the grandchildren
of some of those original customers on Broadway! That's a great
feeling. If you have never been out to the shop we hope you will
come by and visit. There's always a pot of coffee brewing in
Joe's Little Coffee Shop and the friendly, smiling faces of our
staff to greet you.
At JHMS we have a great reputation for superior customer
service. The only way to achieve that kind of accolade is
through hiring, training and keeping excellent employees. More
than a few of our staff have been with the company for many
years. Some of them came to us as kids hanging around the bike
shop who later became co-workers. We know our staff makes all
the difference. They love powersports and they love their work.
